Accessibility Statement

Valley Fest is built on the idea that a weekend in the fields should be open to as many people as possible. We’re committed to removing barriers — on our website and at the festival — and to listening when we get it wrong so we can keep improving.

We aim for our website to meet the WCAG 2.2 AA standard. That means we work towards clear text and colour contrast, keyboard navigation, descriptive links and content that works with screen readers and when zoomed.

We know we’re not perfect: some older content, embedded media or third-party tools (like maps and ticketing pages) may not yet fully meet the standard. We’re working on it. If you have trouble using any part of the site, tell us at info@valleyfest.co.uk and we’ll help and provide the information you need in another format.

Valley Fest takes place on a working organic farm overlooking Chew Valley Lake. It’s a beautiful setting, but that also means uneven, grassy and sometimes muddy ground, slopes and outdoor conditions that depend on the weather. Please plan for this — suitable footwear and all-terrain wheels for buggies and wheelchairs are a good idea.

If you need someone with you to enjoy the festival, you can apply for a free PA ticket to accompany your paid ticket. We’ll ask for simple supporting information (such as evidence of your access needs). Apply by emailing info@valleyfest.co.uk — please get in touch in good time before the festival so we can get everything ready.

Accessible parking is available close to the entrance, and we offer designated accessible camping on firmer, level ground near facilities where possible. Let us know your requirements when you book so we can reserve what you need.

Accessible toilets are located across the arena and camping fields, and accessible showers are available in the camping areas. Our info point can direct you to the nearest facilities on the day.

The site is spread across fields with some distances and gradients. If you need help moving kit or getting around, ask at the info point — donation-based electric trike lifts can be arranged on site, subject to availability.

While dogs aren’t allowed at Valley Fest, registered assistance dogs are always welcome. Please let us know in advance so we can make sure there’s water and a shaded spot available.

24/7 medical and welfare teams are on site throughout the festival. If you need a calmer moment away from the crowds, our welfare team can point you to quieter areas. If you take regular medication, bring what you need and speak to the medical team about safe storage (for example if it requires refrigeration).

Some performances may use strobe lighting, haze, loud sound or pyrotechnics. If you’re sensitive to any of these, please ask staff about upcoming effects, and consider ear protection — we recommend it for younger children in particular.

The more we know in advance, the better we can help. When you contact us about access, it helps to tell us: the dates you’re attending, whether you’re camping, any mobility, sensory or medical needs, and whether you’ll need a PA ticket or accessible parking/camping. We’ll take it from there.
