Cookie Policy
How valleyfest.co.uk uses cookies and similar technologies, what they do, and how you control them.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. We also use similar technologies — local storage and pixels — and refer to all of them as “cookies” here. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) requires your consent before we set any cookie that is not strictly necessary, which is why you see our cookie banner.
2. Cookies we use
| Name / type | Purpose | Set by | Lasts | Consent? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| vf-theme, vf27-basket-v2, vf27-bag, vf-voted, vf-nav-hinted, vf-consent (local storage) | Remembers your colour theme, the tickets or merch in your basket, artist votes you have cast and your cookie choice. | Valley Fest | Until you clear your browser | No — necessary |
| Revolut checkout cookies | Operate the payment page and protect against fraud when you pay. | Revolut | Session | No — necessary |
| sb-* (Supabase auth) | Keeps festival staff signed in to the back office. Not set for visitors. | Supabase | Session | No — necessary |
| _fbp, _fbc (Meta Pixel) | Measures whether our Meta adverts lead to ticket sales, so we can spend our budget sensibly. Pages viewed, items added and purchases are reported to Meta; email addresses are hashed before sending. | Meta Platforms | Up to 90 days | Yes |
| Embedded content (Google Maps, YouTube, Vimeo) | May set their own cookies when a map or video loads. | Google / YouTube / Vimeo | Varies | Per their policies |
We do not currently use analytics cookies. If that changes, this policy and the banner will be updated first.
3. Managing your choices
When you first visit we ask whether you allow advertising cookies. Choosing Decline means the Meta Pixel is never loaded; choosing Allow loads it. To change your choice later, clear the site’s data in your browser (or use private browsing) and the banner will appear again on your next visit; we are also happy to reset it for you if you email us.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; instructions for the main browsers are at aboutcookies.org.uk. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site — such as the basket or payment page — from working.
4. More information
How we use the information collected by cookies is covered in our Privacy Policy. Questions: info@valleyfest.co.uk.
